From my previous orders with them, yes, this is par for the course. In their defense, they've always completed the order eventually, so all I can do is suggest patience.

My money has now been held hostage for 2 weeks, and it's been 8 weeks since I ordered. Can't wait to get to reseller ratings for these guys.

From: Texas! Damn right.
Graphic novels, half off at Virgin Megastores (in Dallas anyway)

Not sure whether this is all over or not, but I just bought a bunch of Marvel Essentials for half of cover price at Virgin. They were stickered 35% off, but when I asked a guy about one that wasn't stickered, he sayed they had to be stickered... but that the stickered ones were now half off. W00t!

Bonus round... the one I had that was unstickered? It came up half price too, yee-haw.

I got;
Essential Spider-Man vol. 4 and 5
Essential X-Men vol. 2
Essential Hulk vol. 1
Essential Ant-Man vol. 1 (hey, it's a first print, and cheap! Don't laugh! )

They had a bunch of Marvel and Anime stuff, as well as others.

Well, well, well...

Never got around to calling, but 1/2 of my order (Fantastic Four Visionairies - John Byrne) just arrived in my mailbox today. Order placed 12/29/03.

I also got half of my order. Why a comic would be backordered for over two months is beyond me.

Thing is, if they charge me for shipping (about $5 for the first shipment) when the rest of my order ships, the $25 off of $25 won't be nearly so special.

I can't wait to buy from DF again.

Just got the second part of my order, as well. Helluva deal... but I sincerely doubt I'll be making a repeat purchase.

Ditto. Finally received my "in stock" order. It's funny how they posted such a great coupon to introduce us to the company...only to follow through with such lousy service. Definitely my last order with these guys.

Got my 2nd order yesterday - they left out two comics (I ordered three random packs), but I won't be contacting them about it...don't think it would be worth the time/patience.

Got my second shipment of my one order. Great company. Great customer service. I'm already planning another order.

WTH, I got the first half of my order on Saturday and the second half today. They waited this long to ship this and they didn't ship it all at once? Maybe they avoid putting 3 tpbs in the envelope they used, but all 3 of my tpbs are fairly skinny.

Ah, good ol' sarcasm. Where would we be without it?

I loved the deal. I mean, $6 for two tradepaperbacks, but c'mon! Three months shipping time? Ridiculous. My account still says waiting to be shipped. Maybe I'll get two copies?

For people still waiting for their orders from DF, I found this here:

http://comicspriceguide.com/forum2/t...TOPIC_ID=11728

1. send email to customer service with links to your order numbers, tell them your credit card was charged weeks ago, your order hasn't even been shipped yet, noone has answered your other emails or phone messages, and now you are done with them and the only correspondence will be through your attorney because you are filing fraud charges against them.

2. go to your orders on their website, and in the little box they have for each order where you can leave them a message, type in the same info from step one (minus the order number, obviously). THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT STEP!!! do this step for EACH order.

This worked so well for me that I received two emails for both my orders within 36 hours saying my order has shipped. They were both at my door in 3 days exactly.

Check this out.... The one order they must not have had the books because it was shipped from "FAT JACKS COMIC CRYPT" in Philly. They must have paid that store for the books just to appease me. This will get your books!!!

DF finally charged my credit card 03/10. It's only a matter of months now before I get my order!

I recieved the second part of my order today. The invoice shows the coupon taken off and the correct total of $8.04 but stapled to the pack of it is a receipt from a credit card terminal with a sale amount of $19.99. SHould I send them an email that I probably won't get a response to or wait until the credit card bill comes and see if theres a problem?

Thanks for the link. I tried doing that last week, but still haven't heard anything.

I've tried calling them, but I always get the "Due to unusually high call volumes, no one is available to take your call" B.S... they probably just have the csr & operator phones cut off. I'm ready to just press any number at the beginning of the recording, because I've yet to talk with an actual person hen calling them.

www.dcbservice.com has Sleeper Vols 1 & 2, as well as Sleeper: Season 2 #1 for 60% off. A great deal if you've wanted to catch up.

Several other items caught my eye, but those stood out.

According to this thread: http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=359093
Toys R Us should have some dvd comic books for $4-5. This is a really good deal even if the dvds aren't quite what I was hoping for.

I still hadn't received one of my orders from Dynamic Forces, so I emailed them and they got back to me really quick promising the items would ship soon. I remember emailing them before and never hearing back - anyone who hasn't got their stuff might wanna give it a try.

I also didn't do any of that 'lawsuit' stuff - just a simple email asking why it had been four months and no word on my order.

BN is doing an exclusive collection of the first 3 USM hc's. Right now the price is $35 which is practically the price of just 1 hc. There's also a $5 off $50 coupon for bn: BKSCLU4

Also if you use Discover and go through their website to bn, you get 7% cash back.

This is an amazing deal. I wonder if people still check this thread.

nny,

i do still check this thread. i saw that BN USM deal and my mouth is simply if i didn't already have the first three volumes, i would be all over this. if they bind all three into one big book, then heck, i still might be all over it.
